Red Bull KTM factory rider Shaun Simpson will return to the 2010 FIM Motocross World Championship this weekend when he competes in the Benelux Grand Prix at the famous Lierop circuit. Twenty-two year old Simpson who was knocked out of the previous GP in Brazil due to an early first race incident that left him with a dislocated left shoulder, has made a successful return to riding earlier this week.

This weekend’s GP of Lierop, Netherlands marks Round 14 of the World Championship and the penultimate round of the 2010 season. It also marks a return to Europe after a successful trip to South America for the GP of Campo Grande, Brazil, in which three of the regular World Championship Honda contingent placed within the top 10 overall classification.

My rookie season in the AMA 450 class has been what I hoped for - and right now it feels like a dream come true. Coming into this year, I knew that I would have to work really hard to be competitive at the top level of our sport. At the start of the AMA Supercross season back in January, I knew that I had the physical part of my training regime down, but I would just have to wait for the gate to drop to see how I stacked up to the competition.

The championship-winning Rockstar Makita Suzuki team and Roger DeCoster will be parting ways after the close of the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross season. DeCoster has been Team Manager for Suzuki's Supercross and Motocross efforts for 15 years, and together they have earned numerous titles and championships. DeCoster will continue to lead the team through the final two rounds of the Motocross series.

Teka Suzuki Europe World MX2 travels to Holland this week for the Grand Prix of Benelux and the penultimate round of the FIM Motocross Championship. Just 100 points remain up for grabs in the MX2 contest and although Ken Roczen has little chance of deposing Marvin Musquin at the top of the standings, he is 69 ahead of Steven Frossard and can guarantee the number two plate for 2011 in the sand of Lierop on Sunday.
